Ron had thought having a new potions teacher would be a relief but he was wrong. Professor Charybdis might be a lot more soft spoken than Snape but she had done the unthinkable. She had forced them to partner up with Slytherins rather than working with people in their own house. She claimed in was building inter-house unity; Ron knew it was actually highly effective system of torture.

Ron had been partnered with Pansy Parkinson, Draco's groupie with a face like a dog. Working that close to Pansy made Ron irritable, Pansy was irritating, and he glared at the roots growing out on her hair where the blonde dye ended. In fact those roots were or infuriating that he had found it impossible to concentrate and the results had been disastrous. So now here Ron was spending another 3 hours re-doing the potion after class. Pansy was whining that he was doing everything wrong so he finally tossed the spoon he'd been stirring with at her and told her to do it herself. Unfortunately in the process he tipped over the cauldron, which spilled the potion into the flames, creating a fog of purple smoke.

Ron coughed, feeling like he was choking in the flames but when the smoke cleared, he found himself staring at Parkinson in surprise, or what that even Parkinson? Suddenly tall and slender, dye lines nowhere to be seen, and with a classically beautiful face, Ron found himself lusting after her.

"Pansy?" he asked hesitantly.

"Ron?" she replied.

It was definitely Parkinson, but a sexy new Parkinson. It was then that Ron caught his own reflection in the upturned stainless steel cauldron. He too was looking rather unlike himself, but better than himself. He wasn't sure when he had gotten so muscular or his jawbone had developed like that, but he didn't care because suddenly Pansy was pressing herself to him and the next thing he knew they were engaged in the best kiss of Ron's life.
