I apologize for my so called countrymen

I commented to some people earlier today that, as a US and California citizen, I feel like I live is a horrid crack!fic. A crack!fic in which Crabbe or Goyle has become president, with a cabinet full of death eater friends of his father like Lucius Malfoy, and Gilderoy Lockhart is governor. I didn't vote for these people by I feel contaminated by association with those that did. Where is my Dumbledore? Where is my Harry? Where is my Hermione, my Weasleys, fuck it where is my Snape even? Madame Bones has retired surely to be replaced by someone horrid and analogies are a scary thing once you start thinking.
