It is good. I don't like Mal/River but I like it. I think River's voice is being twisted to make the Mal/River happen but I feel like her actual observations about everything are really insightful and pretty.

I haven't been online either. Holiday season has been a bit crazy in places since my evil stepmother is apparently preganant and now my mom called me a slut this morning. I haven't really gotten much more of the fic written since last week when we talked but I imagine when my brother goes back to school and things normalize I'll get it done. It needs major editing though. Sorry I had meant it to be done like a week ago.
I can definitely see how she might do that. Good luck with bending her to your will and I am totally excited for the fic.
