Voice posts are fun, right? You get to hear funny accents if your friends are from far, far away. All we really want is to hear your voice, we don't care what you're saying. So here's a list of typical meme questions that would otherwise be boring, but when communicated aloud - well, it's entertaining. Answer these questions in your post, and encourage others with voice-posting abilities to do the same.

1) What's your name?
2) How old are you?
3) Where are you from? Are you living there right now?
4) Is it cold where you are?
5) What's the time?
6) What are you wearing?
7) What was the last thing you listened to?
8) What was the last thing you ate?
9) What was the last thing you watched on tv?
10) What's your favorite tv show? Why?
11) Quick! Find a book, or something with text on it! Flip to a random page and read some of it! GO!
12) What was the last movie you saw? How was it?
13) Do YOU think you have an accent? Talk about that.

You... don't sound how I expected. *baffled*

*laughs* I guess... I expected... you to sound like Faith. More... husky. Or just a lower voice in general.

You... are... awesome!

I totally hate how high my voice is and whenever I hear myself on recording I totally cringe.

You do sound "Californian" to me -- mostly it's that you sound like I expect people to sound -- I'm always surprised when I hear people on the phone or voiceposts or whatever and they have a regional accent -- and you don't, to my ears :)

Also, you sound "younger" than your written post sound.

I may have to try this meme, if I get over my usual being weirded-out-by-how-my-voice-sounds-in-recordings thing...

Being from the same general area, I would say that me sounding "normal" to you definitely confirms my theory about sounding Californian.

Yes, I have a totally high voice, which I detest. As do my mother and sister. In fact, my mom often gets telemarketers asking if her mother is home. And inflection that I think makes me sound less smart and less mature than I am.

The good thing about this meme is that you do it via phone so you don't actually have to ever listen to it if you don't want to.

Oh, wow, I'd totally been (mis)pronouncing your name like you were the Little Mermaid for as long as I've had you on my f'list.

For some reason, I strongly associate Ken Follet with earthquakes, and I have no idea why because I have never read any of his books.

It happens a lot. Think of it like Sebastian says it instead of everyone else.

I haven't either. My boyfriend really likes them though. Apparently they are like epic historical fiction.
