Notes: I started this fic back in January but never got around to finishing it. Last week I suddenly wanted to, despite not having watched past 4x03 (or any of Torchwood) and knowing that it had probably been jossed. So it’s not canon complaint for season 4, and it’s not actually the fic I set out to write (Martha was going to be more victorious), but I’ve written it and I sort of like it anyway, so I’m posting it regardless.
