Veronica's sitting on the hood of his car, and the self satisfied smile almost makes Weevil wish he hadn't said a word to her about anything. She sort of looks like a retro pin-up though so it's not all bad and he tells her so because he enjoys the way she'll pretend to be annoyed. He doesn't point out that she hasn't got enough going on up top to be one; because, Veronica's about to help him out of a jam and even though he didn't ask her to her certainly could use some sort of good turn just about now. When she tells him she's found him a job he's insulted, sure he hates it here but, he'd rather go back to the PCH than take handouts and clean up after Echolls and Dick Casablancas. He feels a little bad, but not exactly reassured, when Veronica tells him that it's a night time security job, not anything janitorial; because, she knows he's planning on taking classes at NCC and she figured the schedule would make it easier for him. Plus he's good at acting tough, she adds. She doesn't say as much, but he gathers that she thinks having him around the Hearst Campus at night would be advantageous for her as well. So agrees to meet with the guy she wants him to work for. He tells her it's for her sake, and she jokes that the only reason she helps him is because wants things from him, but he knows that they're both stretching the truth. She hugs him as she gets up to leave, and Weevil could swear that she murmurs that she missed him. He doesn’t dwell on it though, because Veronica Mars is the kind of girl who gets guys all twisted up inside until they don’t know up from down and Weevil has no time for that kind of shit.

Thank you so so so much for writing this! I really would love it if Weevil was working security at Hearst, although I'm not holding my breath with his record.

That is so, so perfect and absolutely Veronica to her core.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I was sitting there thinking "what kind of job can weevil ahve that isn't either insulting to his pride or unrealistic/fitting into the cliche tlaents people always assign him in shmoopy fanfic? I am thinking that Veronica's already met/gotten indebted to her the guy who does the hiring for those kind of jobs.

That's sort of the way I like my Veronica/Weevil. There, not in the sexual banter but in the pauses in between and never ever going to go anywhere.

I always love to see Veronica Mars fic on my flist...but imagine my fangirl squee when I see that it's a potential Veronica/Weevil fic. Seriously...my inner fangirl thanks you.

I enjoyed this story. It would be a nice way to keep Weevil involved in things around Neptune.

Thanks. I Weevil/Veronica is so my guilty pleasure/crack in the VM fandom because I would never want it to happen on the show but I love thinking/writing/reading it. One of the biggest problems I see in W/V fic is OOC interactions so I'm glad this worked for you.

Also... you've heard the spoilers right?

I agree that the OOC interactions in some V/W fic does make finding good in character fics a gem. And I too can't see it happening on the show, but man...the fic and the like, is my guilty pleasure too! Yay!

Well I was talking about Weevil getting out of jail (convicted of assult but not murder) in episode three and working at a car wash but then getting a job at Hearst thanks to Veronica. I really hope that it isn't what it sounds like because if Weevil has to spend the whole season sweeping up after Logan and Dick... I'll scream. I mean it's good temporary angst but you can't leave it at that.

Also Mac is confirmed as a regular. Her roomate will be a cheerleader type possibly played by Michelle Trachtenberg.

Logan and Dick are going to Heast in addition to Mac, Veronica, and Wallace.

Wallace's roomate is going to be a love interest for Veronica.

I have no idea if you've heard all of these or not.

I had heard that Weevil will be out of jail, but I didn't hear that he was getting a job at Hearst.

The others I had heard bits and pieces about.

Thank you so much for the Weevil spoiler...yay! I love the character and am glad we'll be seeing more of him. But I will be mad if they put him in a job where as you said spend the whole season sweepin gup after logan and dick. I really hope not.

I am hoping it's a jumping off point.... because much as I appreciate him sticking around on the show... if they are going to degrade and waste him like that it's just going to make me bitter.

Oh totally and completely. Feelings of bitterness would overwhelm me if they did that to him.

Someone I "know" works for a company that everyonce and a while gets access to sides from the season 3 scripts. But none of them have mentioned Weevil yet. Seriously...that's all I want...a little Weevil. But no, none yet.

I just hope that Weevil stays around and keeps being all brooding but lovable and oh so snarky.

The Logan and Weevil show was invented back during the badness that was the baby plotline:

"I haven't written about "Donut Run" and I am probably not going to. Instead and I am going to revel in the idea of The Logan and Weevil Show:
The Logan and Weevil show is primarily about Logan and Weevil insulting eachother, having brawls in and out of bathrooms, having awesome chemistry and homoerotic sub and super-text, teaming up against evil etc. The other main cast members are: Mac, Cassidy, Cliff, and Keith. There are lots of scenes at the Casablancas so Dick is still there too. Mac and Cassidy are cute and smart and figure out something weird with Logan and perhaps hire Keith to investigate if they don't do it themselves. Weevil and Logan are alwaus being accused of crimes (deserved and undeserved) and so Cliff has to see them a lot too. Veronica can guest star and if she stops being lame she can get back in the main cast. Duncan is crazy again like he was in the first season of Veronica Mars. Lilly's ghost needs to make appearances. Possibly there can be Kanecest implications."

Obviously the concept needs to be adjusted for the current canon but seriously I wish it was real.

Oh my goodness...that's so perfect! This is what I wish would happen...epsecially stupid plotlines like the duncan/meg baby thing. Ehh...give me some of The Logan and Weevil show anyday. Seriously brilliant. And I clicked the link to the "episode." I loved it. Just...I laughed and not-so-secretly wished that we could have episodes like that...oh Weevil and Logan, you shoudl have your own show :)

If I ran the world there would be a Logan and Weevil Show. Sadly I do not, so we will just have to deal with settling for VM. Not that I don't love VM... just IT'S THE LOGAN AND WEEVIL SHOW.


I've been tempted to actually write Logan and Weevil Show scripts when VM dissapoints me.

Lovely; I think it's a very accurate reflection of the Veronica/Weevil relationship. Business like and a tad bit bittersweet. Very nice... not that I've gotten around to reading it. ;)

Thanks. I think the challenge when writing these two is to try and write what they would do not what we might want them to do.
