If you use the Rich Text editor when you create a post (you can switch from Rich text to plain text at the bottom of the box you use to post your entry), you'll see the image of a table in the menu at the top. You'll be able to decide how many rows and columns you want in your column. You can number your icons by creating a row of numbers/row of icons, or by simply writing the number in the row you have your icon on. Depends on what's easier for you. It's best if you try this out with smaller icon batches.
All else fails, you can use automatic table generators, like this (http://getsemani.be/icontable/). In here you just have to decide how you want things to show and copy the images's url into the box, then click submit and copy paste the code they give you into your entry post (in plain text mode, not Rich text, or it won't read the HTML language).
I think I was a bit confusing on this... but give it a try with some icons and you'll see it's easy to use. :)
