There are always those songs. You hear them in stores, during that 15 seconds before you flip from the radio to your cd player in the car... They are everywhere. You change the station to avoid them and they are on the other station too. So I am issuing a Challenge...

I want you to write a fic based in some way on one of this summer's omnipresent hit songs. It can use a line from the song, it can be conceptually linked, hell the characters in the story can be bitching about its existence. The fic can be no more than a drabble or a novel worth of writing, whatever you want. Naturally if there is a song that seems more appropriate for you than the one's listed go for it, but I have compiled a short list of the songs that I am getting that feeling from at the moment:

Plain White T's "Hey There Delilah"
