FOX was actually starting to get on my good side recently. They didn't cancel Bones when we expected them to. Then there was the announcement of the Dollhouse deal. I was feeling their reform. But now they have announced that they are moving Bones to Friday. FRIDAY! Seriously. They just lost all of the points they might have gained over the last few years.

I'm not really worried. I lived the first 21 years of my life without caring about TV shows and I could do it again. Stupidity just irritates me.

Oh, I'm not necessarily worried about that either. However, with that being said I do enjoy my tv shows. They give me an outlet of escapism from the real world and it's fun to immerse myself in the shows and follow the character's storylines. Mainly though, I would like to see the writer's get what they're owed. There's no question there.

I can agree with the last part.

Oh I like having TV, but I am too prone to escapism in the first place, and I have other sources of it as well.

Other than books, I'm definitely going to be forced to find other outlets for escapism, if this strike does continue to go on forever. lol.

Books aren't a bad way to go.

No, esp. not if you like to read as much as I once did. I probably still would, lol. Problem is, finding that series or that book that just makes me want to gobble it up in one sitting and leave me wanting more, where that came from. Last series that did that was, The Twilight series by Stephanie Meyers.

Yeah, I notice when I watch TV I tend to not really read, which is problematic in my book so I sort of welcome the strike as an intermission to rediscover everything TV is taking the place of.

I never really thought of it that way, at all. When you put that way, it actually makes sense. I'm actually now thinking about starting to read a new series in the VC Andrews books (well, it's an older series, but it's one I've not read before and is new to me), the Hudson series. I was about to call the video rental place, to see if they had the movie based on the first book in the series, to rent as well.
